News from Korea, it's been a while...

Hii~
sorry that I haven't been writing anything^^; There were already several people asking when I'm going to update again, I finally have time and I'm in the mood to write something. So this will be quite a long update. I'll try to update more frequently in the future :)

Quite a lot happened the last weeks. We finally moved to our apartment. We had some difficulties, but everything worked out fine. Our landlords are a really nice elderly couple. Our apartment is very nice and quite big. We like it here^^

Some time ago we went out with some Korean friends. After we ate something, we walked around in 강남 (Gangnam). There we decided to go to a Board Game Bang (방= bang which is room in English). This was a new concept for me, since we don't have those on Germany. It looked kinda like a normal cafe, just that u can play Board Games. We paid 2.000₩ per person, and could play there for 1 hour. You can also get food and drinks there. There are other kinds of 방 in Korea, the best known is probably the 노래방 (Noraebang) a Karaoke room. Another would be the Multibang, a room where you can do different things, like playing Wii, Karaoke, Games, or watch DVDs.

The First Days

안녕 from Korea :)

Yes I'm finally here. It's my 3rd day in Korea now, and I finally have enough time to write something :)

So I had a long flight and didn't sleep at all but hey I got to watch some movies.
After I got to Incheon my korean friend was already waiting for me and helped me with my stuff :)
We got to the hostel where we waited for Tabea.
The hostel room is tiny.. srsly tiny.. we have 4 suitcases.. and with them in the room there is nearly no space to move at all.. opening a suitcases is like a mission, it's kinda like tetris... put every bag in the right place and you will be able to open one... but we kinda arranged ourselves.
On Wednesday there was no sleeping for me we went to eat 빙수 (bingsu) and then looked for a flat the whole day.. when I went to bed I think I was awake for 36 hours or so.. but at least I had no jet lag after that^^

그대를 사랑합니다

Hey :)

I've been super busy lately, there are so many things to take care of before I go to Korea. But I've been doing some reading.

I found this three-volume manhwa, well it is actually a webtoon, that was made into a book. A Korean friend of mine recommended it and I also saw it at the library in our university and decided to give it a try.
The story is called 그대를 사랑합니다 (I love you) by 강풀. Its about an old couple and their love story, it tells abut how the find together and also about their thoughts and situations. The story is sad, but also really beautiful.
It can be a bit difficult to read, because there are some expressions used by older people and also some dialects in it, but it was really fun to read.

And while searching for more information about it on the internet, I found out that there is actually a movie based on it, and even a drama. I really want to watch them. I'm curious how they made the movie and if it's as good as the webtoon.

I want to watch it even more, since Lee Soon Jae (이순재), an actor I really like, plays the one of the main characters (in both, drama and movie) and one of my favourite actresses Song Ji Hyo (송지효) is also in the movie.

Hey~

안녕 :)

I have decided to start this blog because I'm going to go to Korea in 2 months and will stay there as an exchange student for 1 year :)
In this blog I plan to talk about my experiences there. I hope I'll actually do this cause I can be quite lazy at times ^^;
Since I've also been thinking about doing a language blog, for quite some time, there might also be some about my language learning journey here (I have been learning Korean since about  2 1/2 years) or other Korea related stuff^^
At the moment I'm in the preparation phase, there is still so much to do before actually going to Korea.. Sometimes I think about when I'll be going and am like oh it is still doesn’t feel real, it's still so far away, but then I look at my calender and suddenly realize actually it's not, 2 months are so short, they will probably be over in the blink of an eye D:. That’s why  I'm slowly starting to get really excited but also kinda scared these days, since it is a really big thing and I hope everything works out well when I get there^^

That's all from me for now, I hope you will like this blog^^
